CRIME BEAT REPORTER TAKES A BEATING

Attorney William Carl, a former partner in the now dissolved law firm offices of Madras attorneys Glenn, Reeder & Gassner sat down with Ranch Matters (RM) today to address an article written by Bend Bulletin crime beat reporter, Garrett Andrews last December. The title of Garrett Andrews story: “Madras woman charged with embezzling $34,000 from law firm.”

According to Carl, Garrett’s story ostensibly focused on a criminal investigation into a former employee of the Glenn, Reeder & Gassner law firm. Carl stated it had nothing to with him and further questioned why Garrett felt it necessary to insert him into the story. He quickly added: “Garrett’s story was rife with errors.”

Carl told RM he was mislead by Garrett Andrews and also questioned his status as a crime beat reporter.
