Today’s CRR Work Session Meeting, like all other CRR/BOD WORK SESSION MEETINGS followed the AGENDA, except there were two. The first Agenda was posted on the Ranch Website & the second Agenda was distributed at the meeting.
President Carl Harbour and the Board rehashed a controversial Resolution from last year, that was tabled regarding the RECORDING OF BOD MEETINGS.
At today’s meeting, Harbour introduced and read aloud RESOLUTION 2019-08-05-A, “BOARD MEETING CODE OF CONDUCT.” This particular Resolution expands on last years Resolution about banning Recording of meetings by creating additional limitations on Members participation. For example, paragraph E, states in part, “Members are entitled to attend and OBSERVE, but Not to participate in Board meetings.”
Further, the Resolution will ban Members from taking pictures or capturing any video or audio recordings of the meeting.
If you are declared a VIOLATOR, the Cops will be called.
Additionally “Owners may not complain, insult or make derogatory remarks about individual employees during owner input sessions of Board meetings.” Again, if declared a VIOLATOR, the COPS will be called.
We have to ask, is the Board and or Administration exempt from this section of the Resolution?
Cops and Fines-THE SIGN OF THE TIMES. “The Board of Directors may levy fines against any member who violates the policy in accordance with the Association’s enforcement procedures and schedule of fines.”
Missing from the second Agenda and apparently pulled prior to the meeting,
RESOLUTION 2019-08-05-B, titled,
“A Resolution to state public support for Judy Lapora Ranch Manager for Crooked River Ranch Club & Maintenance Association.”
“The Board of Directors unanimously expresses formal, public support for Judy Lapora…”
