Based on last night’s CRR/BOD MEETING, we feel compelled to alter our typical format and focus on the CONDUCT of the Board.
During Public Input, former Director Carol Orr, attempted to address the Board, but was immediately shut down by Ranch President Carl Harbour, who then adjourned the meeting and the majority of the Directors WALKED OUT.
Director Sue Flory was connected via phone and stayed on the line and publicly called Dave Stangland and John Stevens “liars” while the meeting was in adjournment. However, later in the meeting, Director Flory apologized for calling Stangland and Stevens liars and admitted her comment was inappropriate.
Directors Judy Gilliland and Marie Carter remained seated and listened to Ms. Orr-To Their Credit.
After the meeting reconvened, Director Judy Gilliland discussed her thoughts regarding Resolution 2019-\-\08-05-A. Ms. Gilliland openly discussed and questioned sections within the Resolution, as well as, conveyed her concerns regarding the Board’s conduct, while at the same time, the Board promotes policing the conduct of the Ranch Membership.
“With Liberty and Justice for All”
Director Stephanie Proffitt weighed in, implying the Resolution somehow was linked to John Stevens statements at the July meeting. Proffitt described her definition of normal behavior, suggesting questions, differing opinions and comments that fail to follow the Boards position can/could be classified as a threat. Proffitt added, she doesn’t need to call the police by stating, “I am prepared to handle it myself.” What does that mean?
The Resolution was temporarily Tabled.
