“BLINDED BY HATE”
Last Friday (1/10/2020), former Ranch Director, Carol Orr met privately with Ranch Director/Secretary, Judy Gilliland and Ranch VP, Bill Burt for two hours at the Sandbagger Saloon regarding, in part, the 10/07/19 video clip sent to Sheriff Jim Adkins by Ranch Director, Mark Schneider.
An in-depth story will be published soon detailing the specifics of the above described two hour meeting. However, this report is based on one of the “tangents” that Gilliland focused on during the meeting.
According to Ms. Orr, Gilliland and the Board seems to be “blinded by hate for Ranch Matters” and went off on various tangents focusing on Ranch Matters stories and activities. For example, Gilliland told Ms. Orr that Ranch Matters was “against the Emergency Exit.” Gilliland knows first hand that Ranch Matters was not against the Emergency Exit/Road, only opposed to the process involved.
Gilliland participated in a Protest March in early 2018 at the Jefferson County Annex holding a sign that said “Road Of Deception.”
“A PICTURE IS WORTH A THOUSANDS WORDS.”
Another example Gilliland seems to be confused over is the current 2016 Ballot Measure Lawsuit. Gilliland told Orr that she wasn’t in favor of the lawsuit being filed and suggested certain people applied some undue pressure.
Interestingly, Gilliland voted personally along with the Group of “Concerned Ranch Residents” to file the lawsuit and financially supported the lawsuit even after becoming a Ranch Director.
Ms. Orr went on to say, that Gilliland told her “not to listen to us-Ranch Matters” and that our stories “are not accurate and out of context.” Gilliland also suggested that Orr needs to sit on the opposite side (of Ranch Matters) during board meetings in the Juniper Room.
Lastly, its been reported that Gilliland has been attending public meetings and disseminating potentially false and misleading information about Ranch Matters and individuals.
Director Gilliland, please provide specific examples of Ranch Matters stories that are inaccurate, not truthful or out of context.
