Bill & Judy’s Rodeo

Buffaloed by Bill?

Today Ranch Matters had a follow-up meeting with Jefferson County Community Development Director Scott Edelman regarding the Rodeo Arena Project.

Director Edelman provided the latest updates that included a “DEVELOPMENT APPLICATION” signed by Ranch President Bill Burt on February 18, signed and submitted by Ranch Manager Judy Lapora on February 23, 2022.

The DEVELOPMENT APPLICATION was submitted by the “Crooked River Ranch C&MA” pursuant to County Code 422.11, for “Mass Gathering” events.

Judy’s application lists several provisions for the promoter’s rodeo that includes exhibits, but interestingly, there is no mention anywhere in the application/exhibits identifying the promoter. The State Fire Marshal’s exhibit refers to the the rodeo as: “Crooked River Ranch Rodeo.”
