Due to Covid-19 restrictions the Madras Airport has been rather quiet lately, until today.
This afternoon, a 1975 Mooney single engine airplane, piloted by John Larson of Bend, suffered a landing gear failure upon touch down on Runway 16.
Larson who has been flying since 1970 suffered no injuries, stated,
“Any landing you can walk away from is a good landing.”
His plane was not so lucky.
