Ranch Matters attended a “Town Hall Meeting” outside of Redmond City Hall this evening. Prior to the event starting, we had an opportunity to talk with B.J. Soper, the event organizer.
According to Soper, there’s “a lot of upset people and a lot of people struggling,” because of Governor Brown’s Executive Order. He added, the community needs to talk and get back to work.

About 5:30 PM Soper opened the well attended meeting and commented, “I feel the American spirit is starting to revive.”
He’s been “reaching out on social media” asking people how their lives have been impacted by the stay-at-home order.”

Soper opened the mic to “each and every person that would like to tell their story, about how these issues have impacted their lives.”

His ultimate goal is to, “let the elected representatives, the people we hired, to do the delegated tasks of running our government know, that they can either get on the bus or get the hell out of our way because we’re coming back to life.”

Soper closed the Town Hall Meeting about 7:00 PM with a suggestion, “Let’s do this again, lets get together, lets spread the word, lets do it a week from now, exact same time at the exact same location.”

As an aside the Redmond Police closed the streets to traffic and made themselves invisible. There was no problems and the event was “successful” according Soper.
