RODEO RERUN?

“DEVASTATED WHEN WE LOST THE LAST ONE”

At last Monday’s (03/18/24) HOA/CRR Regular Board of Directors meeting, resident Jeremy addressed the Board regarding resurrecting the rodeo.

Jeremy conveyed his thoughts and research relevant to holding a rodeo event on the Ranch that included identifying the promoter, the same promoter behind the 2022 rodeo fiasco.

Ranch Manager Judy Lapora: “If the Board’s okay with it I would like to sit down and talk to him.”

“I would love to have this-I was just devastated when we lost the last one.”

HOW WAS IT LOST?

.

Ranch Matters published several reports related to former Ranch President Bill Burt and Manager Lapora’s “Secret” 2022 Rodeo Arena Proposal-“LOST ONE.”

Our stories focused in part on the questionable processes behind the contractual/financial ramifications, relationships and secrecy.

“ON ADVICE OF COUNSEL”?

.

From the very beginning, Bill, Judy and the Board of Directors were less than forthcoming regarding the actual rodeo proposal-keeping the membership in the dark.

 

They were also less than forthcoming regarding providing any specifics for cancelling the rodeo. For unknown reasons they retained an attorney before issuing the following statement on April 11, 2022:

“... On ADVICE OF COUNSEL, we will not be discussing the circumstances that caused the termination of this year’s rodeo until the proper time.”

“YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO REMAIN SILENT”
