MUTILATION FIXATION
.
Cattle Mutilations in rural Oregon-CULTS, ALIENS, CONSPIRACY THEORIES?
.
Ranch Matters (RM) was contacted by Jefferson County Commissioner and rancher, Mark Wunsch regarding the resurgence of cattle mutilation reports. He asked us to look into it and suggested we contact the Oregon Cattle Association as a starting point.
Wunsch stated he knows that the cattle mutilation subject is a hot topic typically associated with “ conspiracy theories, cults and aliens”, but feels these unexplained incidents need to be better understood, especially as a rancher.
.
He asked: “How do we really investigate these strange crimes when there is no physical evidence?”
.
He also suggested a “knowledge-based system” be explored to better understand and investigate these bizarre cases of mutilated cows.
.
We contacted Shane Gomes, District Vice President for the Oregon Cattle Association.
.
Cattle mutilation is on his radar and like Wunsch, feels these mutilations need better understood. He explained the reports he has received all follow the same pattern-no usable physical evidence.
.
The cattle are killed with surgical precision typically missing soft-tissue organs that include the eyes, tongues and sex organs.
.
There are no tracks or blood evidence further stumping law enforcement.
.
Gomes indicated there are some unsolved cattle mutilation cases in Wheeler County and suggested we contact the Wheeler County Sheriff’s Office and speak with Sergeant Jeremiah Holmes.
