Last Saturday, the rock band BLOOD ON THE PLOW, a John Cougar Mellencamp tribute band,
performed to a packed venue at the Blacksmith Public House in downtown Redmond.
The band’s name, BLOOD ON THE PLOW, is derived from one of John Cougar’s songs, “Rain
on the Scarecrow” about the 1980’s farm crisis.

THE BAND’S STORY
“Founded in 2022, Blood on the Plow is the Pacific Northwest’s Premier John Cougar Mellencamp Tribute Band. It started with a couple of friends who shared a passion for music and a love for John Cougar Mellencamp. Since then, we have evolved into a six-piece band, playing all of John’s greatest hits…”
The band played a variety of ‘80’s/90’s rock songs along with their Cougar playlist that fired up the crowd and the air vibrated with the beat of loud drums and guitars.  Central Oregon has been dubbed “The Playground of the Northwest” and Crooked River Ranch lies in the center of the action. The historic vibe of the Blacksmith House, it’s premier sound system and staff amplifies the entire music experience.
If you’re a lover of music, then the Blacksmith’s killer acoustic sound system will enhance your experience.
