2022
WRAP UP
.
Much like 2021, Ranch Matters (RM) has stayed the course and uncovered some interesting
facts and events that many would have preferred to be hidden.
.
We’ve published approximately 270 stories this year and have had thousands of visitors
worldwide reading/educating themselves on our news website.
.
Our stories are well researched, original, hard-hitting and accurate. At the same time we’ve faced malicious, vicious, defamatory and retaliatory attacks from various CRR Officials as part of their strategy to silence us and others deemed enemies of the Ranch.
.
Looking back, we’ve covered a lot of special reports that impacted Ranch residents and the larger community as a whole. The following is just a handful of stories we have investigated and reported:
.
*** “DO LIVES MATTER?”, published 1/9/22, about Badger Hill Road that included former
Ranch President Bill Burt’s “8” Point Edict” regarding “LESSONS LEARNED” from the
December 26, 2021, “MESS.” We’ve published several stories related to Badger Hill safety
matters.
Manager Judy Lapora weighed in and stated:

“SOMEBODY’S GOING TO GET KILLED ON THAT ROAD IF WE’RE NOT CAREFUL.”
WHAT’S CHANGED?
.
*** “WILD BILL’S RODEO”, published 2/11/22, was one of several reports regarding Bill’s (AND JUDY’S) “Secret” rodeo arena project.
The project started off on the wrong foot and many Ranch residents pushed back and the controversial project ultimately was killed.
Our stories
also highlighted the so-called rodeo panels-wrong panels that cost the residents thousands of
dollars.
Only after being exposed did the Ranch Officials return the rodeo panels to Redmond Coastal.
.
*** “MAE I HAVE 10K?”, published 3/18/22, covered interesting connections between certain Ranch Directors, Commissioner Mae Huston and their agenda(s).
.
At the 2/9/22,
Commissioners meeting, Huston moved to donate $10K of taxpayers money for the rodeo arena after Burt submitted an unsigned letter to the County Commission, dated 2/3/22, reflecting only his name as the President and Judy Lapora’s name as the Ranch Manager.
Their letter dealt with the rodeo arena proposal along with a request for $10K. It included the
following quote: “Judy Lapora had a conversation with Mae Huston today and Mae
enthusiastically supported the idea.”
.
Further, we reported that Commissioner Huston attended the Ranch 2021, Annual Meeting and after the meeting adjourned an announcement was made regarding her re-election campaign.
Huston produced a Candidates Signature Sheet/Petition for the May 17, 2022 Primary Election cycle and former President Bill Burt signed Huston’s Petition supporting her re-election.
Additionally, the following current/former Ranch Directors signed her re-election Petition: Carl Harbour, Judy Gilliland, Richard Ebers, Jerry Cooper, Randy Peterson, Mike Dries and Mark Schneider.
.
NOTE: Mae Huston was defeated in November’s MIDTERM ELECTION by cattle rancher Mark
Wunsch

.
*** “ASSHOLES & LUNATICS”, published 4/29/22, reported on former Ranch Director Richard
Ebers conduct/remarks after the Ranch Board had held their Special Meeting to replace resigned Director Jerry Cooper.
As the attendees exited the Juniper Room, candidate Jeff Parcel was talking with Director Ara Erdekian about the voting process, specifically how they (BOD) voted. Ebers, standing near by, interjected and asked Parcel, “WHAT WOULD YOU DO WITH THAT INFORMATION?”

The exchanged between Ebers and Parcel continued, with Ebers stating to Parcel,”…I thought you were an asshole before.” Parcel responded, “I am an asshole”, then, while pointing at Ebers, Parcel went on to say, “You (Ebers) are an asshole.” Ebers responded,
“Well OK, FuckYou.”
Resident Carol Orr exited the Juniper Room and Parcel told Ebers that Carol wanted to ask a
question related to the candidates. Ebers re-directed his attention to Ms. Orr and stated.
“We don’t want to hear you…”
Orr responded, “I’m a resident and why wouldn’t you want to hear me.” Ebers response,
“Because you are a lunatic.”
.
.
*** “THE DAY AFTER”, published 5/6/2, reported that Jefferson County District Attorney, Steve Leriche and retired Sheriff Jim Adkins released the equivalent of an atomic explosion by issuing a joint statement endorsing Sheriff Heckathorn’s opponent, Deputy Jason Pollock, days before the May 17 Primaries.
RM broke the news to Sheriff Heckathorn and he confirmed not being aware of the DA’s statement /media release and requested we send him a copy.
.
*** “YOUR VOICE COUNTS”, published 5/18/22, included a statement from Sheriff Elect, Jason Pollock, who defeated incumbent Sheriff Marc Heckathorn in the May 17 Primaries. Pollock emphasized citizens votes do count, as well as their voices.
.
.
*** “RESOLUTION RETALIATION”,
published 6/24/22, reported that the CRR/BOD voted at
their 6/20/22, Board Meeting to impose three (3) specious, vindictive and retaliatory
Resolutions further restricting homeowners rights.
