CHURCH CHATTER-UpDate

7/27/20, 4:40 PM

Ranch Matters has obtained via a public records request, several letters written to the Jefferson County Planning Department, concerning the proposed development of a church and community center located at the intersection of SW Mustang Road and SW Tarpon on Crooked River Ranch (CRR). Many of the letters raised concerns related to the location, traffic and noise.

Only one, submitted by the Ranch Board of Directors, clearly conveyed support for the project. Their letter stated in part, “After discussion with the Board of Directors, the request to support the project and its benefits to the Ranch as a whole, was approved.”

Additionally, there is a letter from the applicant, requesting changes regarding the Staff Report conditions.

Another letter, addressed to the Jefferson County Commissioners-not the Planning Department, complained about the process.
